Remember my past post about how our family canceled cable tv and switched to Netflix and Amazon Prime via our Playstation 3 device? Well we’re still going strong and I don’t miss cable one bit. There are a few reality tv shows that I would definitely be watching, but don’t need to be, if I had cable and our old DVR but for now I’m content with watching what I can on Netflix or Amazon.
Well with the use of Amazon, Netflix, Redbox and the like, our family realized we have a plethora of CDs and DVDs we no longer need or use. You can’t really sell them at a yard sale, there aren’t any local places to trade them in, but there is MusicMagpie where you can trade in CDs and DVDs.
In fact, most of our old DVD or CD collection is either collecting dust or getting played with which means they’re getting all scratched up for no reason which renders them worthless. It pains me to think of all the money we spent and all the disks that have gotten ruined that we can no longer use.
Hindsight is always 20/20 right? If I had known what the future held I would have taken better care of them and either traded or resold them, I just had no idea there was a real market for used CDs and DVDs.
So if you need a little extra cash, don’t have the time to try and photograph, list and sell each and every DVD or CD you own on Craigslist or eBay, definitely check out MusicMagpie. They give you cash for your unused or no longer wanted DVDs, CDs and Games. It’s as easy as visiting their site to enter the barcode to see what your collection is worth. Not having to leave your home…is priceless.
So, don’t wait like I did until all your old games, cds and dvds are ruined, trade them in for cash while you still can and save them from the landfill!
