BB Cloth 2 in 1 Cloth Diaper Review

This post may contain affiliate links

BB Cloth Diaper 2 in 1One of things I love about cloth diapering my little BabyCakes is the cuteness factor. Any cloth diapering mom knows how easy it is to get carried away collecting adorable diapers, but this can be hard on our wallets. Well, never fear mamas, BB Cloth Diapers makes snagging unique prints affordable. I was sent one of their new 2 in 1 (also referred to as an All in 2, AI2) diapers in “Hipster” to review.

BB Cloth Pocket or 2 in 1

Having a little boy myself, I appreciate that BB Cloth Diapers offers a variety of prints for both girls and boys.  BB Cloth’s 2 in 1 diapers retail at $14.95 and come with two bamboo blend inserts. This diaper can be used as an AI2 or a pocket diaper. The cover has an outer layer of PUL  that comes in a large variety of fun colors and prints. The inner layer is made of soft suede cloth with inner channel gussets for extra leak protection. Having an inner lay of cloth instead of PUL has it’s pros and cons. Pro- the material nicely wicks moisture away from baby’s skin and enables the diaper to also be used as a pocket diaper. Con- when using as an AI2, you cannot simply wipe the cover and reuse it… just some food for thought.

BB Cloth 2 in 1 TabA  unique feature of BB Cloth Diaper 2 in 1 covers is that the inner layer is open at both ends. This speeds drying time, offers different stuffing options, and makes removing the inserts (when using as a pocket diaper) easy peasy. I found that  tabs that lays over the top and bottom ends of the diaper to be too short for my liking. Managing the top tab took some finesse during diaper changes. Still, I was able to achieve a comfortable and snug fit.

BB Cloth Diapers are trim yet effective. The bamboo blend inserts are thin and quite absorbent. At one end of each insert there is a snap which you can secure to either the top or bottom end of the cover. I had good results doubling the inserts as a pocket style diaper for nap time and using one insert for an on-the-go AI2 diaper.

BB Cloth 2 in 1 HipsterHaving used this diaper for only three weeks, I cannot speak to its long term durability, but for only $14.95 BB Cloth’s 2 in 1 diapers are worth a try. On BB Cloth Diapers’ website you can find other bargains  like cute pocket diapers for as little as $7.00. If you are looking for a deal and have a love of winsome prints check out BB Cloth Diapers.

Since I’ve only used this diaper for about a month I cannot honestly say how durable it is. From just looking at the material I’m guessing that this diaper would work well for one child, but it probably wouldn’t last through two or more…

Is that soft interior rufflely bit still called a double gusset? It looks pretty comfy… How were the red marks with it? I’ve been sticking with the applecheeks style leg elastic just to keep my little guy comfy….

My little guy wears these and the gussets doesn’t seem to bother him.

On BB Cloth’s website they describe the interior lining as having a double gusset. There are leg double gussets and interior double gussets. I called this feature “inner channel gussets” to distinguish it from leg double gussets. BB Cloth’s diapers do not have leg double gussets. My boy had no red marks with this diaper. Hope that clarifies things for you. :)

That does clarify. I’m surprised there not an agreed upon term for those channel gussets!

I love reading reviews of different cloth diapers before buying them for my little one. It saves me the frustration of buying a diaper that I’m going to end up not using! Thank you!!

I have a few of these diapers and find myself gravitating towards them more and more. I mainly use BumGenius and Thristies, but am becoming a big fan of BB Cloth. Their prints are awesome. When it’s warm out, I often just leave my little one just with a diaper and shirt, and I prefer their prints over my others.

I really like that the diaper has openings at both ends. The worst feeling in the world is waiting for a diaper to dry while the last on is on its way to getting used. These look like great clothes.
