Yay for fellow cloth diaper geeks!
My twins turn 8 yrs old in just over a week and boy let me tell you, the time has flown by! I can’t believe this all started with my cloth diapering their little bums! It’s been quite some time since I’ve been able to review cloth diapers and products on actual babies of diapering age and I’ve been on the lookout for someone just right who can take on this task for me. Back in April at the Great Cloth Diaper Change in Virginia Beach I had the pleasure of meeting Patricia and her cutie pie Leah and it recently dawned on me “That’s her! That’s the mama I should ask to work with me on my blog!” So I stalked her, found her Facebook Page and reached out. I’m happy to say that she has accepted and you’ll start seeing new product review posts from her soon! Wheee!
So, without further ado, I would like to introduce you to Patricia!
I have been married to Noah for 11 years and I work from home while raising and homeschooling our 3 children, Alistair (7), Ronan (4) and Leah (17 months).
We are “outside-dig-in-the-dirt type people.” (Someone actually called us that once). We enjoy all sorts of adventures like hiking, biking, camping and just staying close to home experiencing all that coastal Virginia has to offer!
I began cloth diapering shortly after my second son was born as a way to save our family money. I set out to learn how to sew and, within a month, I had a start-up stash that would last me 2 days between washing! As I ventured out into commercially available diapers, I became addicted and tried to find as many different fabrics and styles as I could. Many people thought I was crazy when the words “cloth diapers” came out of my mouth, but they were all amazed when they realized how simple it actually was. (And how much money we were saving by diapering this way!)
My obsession has become my passion and I now spend most of my free time talking to parents and other caregivers about the benefits of cloth diapering. I organize community outreach events to help parents sort out the mass of CD information and encourage them to find a system that works for their lifestyle. I also advocate for cloth diaper use whenever possible as a real world solution to ever-tightening family budgets and overloaded landfills.
I would like to thank Julie for having me here at Cloth Diaper Geek! You will be seeing lots more of Leah and I soon!

I’m Julie, a former cloth diaper retailer who discovered a passion for the industry. Now, instead of selling cloth diapers, I advocate them and promote small businesses I love who sell and manufacture them.
I’m the wife of a fireman and mother of three. I have a daughter and identical twin sons.
