Is there a nighttime cloth diaper or potty training solution that works?

As I write this I am in the midst of raising two little boys.  For the most part they are potty trained, I’d say 99.999%.  But about once a month someone wets the bed.  It used to happen much more frequently, even when they wore cloth diapers, pull-ups, you name it!  I didn’t think there was really anything designed to hold the pee of a 2,3,4yr old boy.  No matter what, they would wake up with wet sheets.

Dealing with bedwetting can be frustrating.  You don’t want to get mad, or upset your child, but you also don’t want to have to wash their bedding every single day.  You want them to be able to wear underwear and not a bulky cloth diaper, but how?

Luckily Super Undies Nighttime Underwear were created with us in mind.  They’re a reusable alternative to disposable trainers, pull-ups and diapers and they’re designed to give your little one the feeling of wearing big kids underwear.

Super Undies Nighttime underwear are waterproof bed wetting pants designed to help your child wake up with dry sheets. They come with 9 layers of cotton absorbency built in, and fleece covered elastic legs and waist for a comfortable, and more leak resistant fit. Excellent for after potty training transitional nights, or even for minor child enuresis.

What are they made of and how do they work?

  • Inner fabric-Touching skin: A smooth poly-Lycra blend
  • Absorbent Inner: Microfiber Terry Cloth
  • Colored Outer fabric: Waterproof PUL
  • Tabs: PUL and a soft microfiber fleece
  • Leg Binding: Water-resistent anti-pill fleece

Have you found a nighttime solution for your bedwetter?  Have you given SuperUndies a try?  What did you think?

I haven’t tried the Super Undies yet, but I have been thinking of it. My solution for my oldest was to use a Motherease toddler with a Disana wool cover. I’m trying to convince my 2yo to potty train now, and I might check out the Super Undies!
