This year Stonyfield is a sponsor and official yogurt of the 2014 Boston Marathon. Today was race day and I have been able to see snippets here and there on the news. As if the racers weren’t inspiring enough as it is, to overcome such devastation to race again this year, makes my heart swell with pride. Each glimpse of the news I hear or see tv brings tears to my eyes, I can’t even imagine attempting to run a race while experiencing such emotion and I can only attempt to fathom how awesome it must be to be a part of today’s race after what took place last year.
While I may never strive to race in the Boston Marathon I think it’s important to reflect on the fact that we each have our own marathons in life, things we dream of, dedicate ourselves to accomplishing, aspire to be. My personal marathon involves focusing parenting and family and on being the best ME I can be daily. As moms we often struggle to maintain ourselves and our own passions while putting our families first.
My Daily Marathon
From getting the kids off to school to working full-time from home, my days are filled to the brim with to-do lists. It’s easy to lose myself in one thing or another but I’ve been attempting to dedicate myself to my yoga practice in the midst of it all. An hour a day 2-3 times a week when I disconnect from the real world and tune in to myself has been truly amazing and I can feel the improvements of yoga on my mind, body and soul.
While I am a Stonyfield Yo-Getter, a blogger who gets compensated with yogurt coupons in exchange for voluntarily participating in Stonyfield opps, I can honestly say that Stonyfield Greek truly helps fuel my Daily Marathon!
I am honored to get to work with such a great company and thrilled they’re sponsoring the 2014 Boston Marathon and that thousands of racers and spectators today are enjoying the same Stonyfield that’s become a daily ritual to eat for me.
What are some of your personal marathons? I’d love to hear what you’re accomplishing or dreaming to!
*I was compensated for this post with yogurt coupons! Woot! This post was optional and all of the opinions above are my own.

We only eat stonyfield brand yogurt. Its the only one I can find with whole milk and we NEED that fat content. It helps that its natural organic and tasty. Wish I could get some coupons too!!

I need to start focusing more on what I’m putting into my body. Half the time I’m in such a rush taking care of the kids in the morning that I won’t actually sit down and eat myself until after lunch!

I didn’t know Stonyfield sponsored the Boston Marathon this year. That’s awesome!
My daily marathon is a balancing act between my infamy son’s needs and my eight year old son’s feelings and all the other things that go into running a household. My older son understands my new baby needs me more often, but I can see the hurt in his face every time I tell him I can’t play. I try everyday to give him at least a few minutes.

My personal marathon is to strive to not let other people’s opinions dictate my decisions or self worth. I also strive to be able to be the best mother and wife to my family as possible. Seems simple enough, but takes a lot of dedication!

My daily marathon is more of a balancing act–balancing the needs of my infant with the wants of my 8 year old. I know my older child understandS, but it still pulls at my heartstrings when I see the hurt in his eyes!

I ran a marathon over 10 yrs ago and since then have had 4 children and gained 70 pounds. My marathon goal is to lose all that weight so I can play and laugh with my children and be in pictures with them again!

I love their yogurt! I wonder if they have higher fat yogurt instead of non/low for little ones.
