As a Florida girl nothing says summer living like sun dresses and sand between my toes! There’s literally got to be a lightning storm on the horizon to keep my family from a day at the beach. My new obsession…shell collecting and treasure hunting! Did you know that the Treasure Fleet of 1715 carrying the Queens Jewels back to Spain was lost at sea just off the coast from where we live? How cool is that? Finding treasure is certainly a summer craving of mine but for now I’ll settle for finding the occasional shark tooth or a really cool sea shell.
Summer snacking!
With summer clothing, swimsuits and summer trips to the beach come an increased importance in eating healthy and feeling confident. Trips to the beach for our family usually include a delicious sub, some ice cold green tea and a bag of pretzels. On our non-beach days we try to offer healthier snacks for the kids like Stonyfield‘s Yo-Squeeze and Greek Yogurt. I’m still a huge fan of Stonyfield’s Oh My Yog! although it’s not stocked at all my local grocers yet.
Summer dresses!
I can’t tell you how excited I was to have the opportunity to choose a clothing item from prAna! As a mom I am often the last person who our family spends money on.
