10 Cloth Diaper Resolutions
1. Try traveling with cloth! If you’ve either not had the opportunity to take a short trip or perhaps generally take disposables when you travel, resolve to try traveling with cloth at least once this year. Hybrid diapers like GroVia or Flip make traveling easy!
2. Learn a new prefold or flats folding technique. Youtube has a vast amount of resourceful videos including tons that feature step-by-step instructions on how to fold flats and prefold style diapers. Expand your knowledge, learn a new fold or two!
3. Participate in the Flats Challenge. Every year Dirty Diaper Laundry hosts the Flats & Handwashing Challenge. Participants vow to use only traditional cloth diapers and washing methods for one week and then share their results with the community. Participating helps prove that cloth diapering is a viable option for low-income families and those without laundry facilities.
4. Donate! Go through your stash and choose some cloth diapers to pass on to a family in need. Chances are you have plenty and wouldn’t miss at least one or two. Commit yourself to donating at least one cloth diaper to a cloth diaper lending organization like Giving Diapers, Giving Hope.

Visit the GCDC site and look for a location near you. Don’t see one? Consider hosting your own!
10. Talk to strangers! Talk to at least one stranger about the benefits of choosing cloth diapers. Advocacy is easy and really rewarding. Because we know so much about cloth diapering it makes it really easy to teach and talk about it. Start a conversation with a stranger about cloth, either at the park, the grocery store, post office-anywhere!
