Thanks Lunette Cup, You’re a tease! #brokenhearted

This post may contain affiliate links

This, my friends, is the story about how the Lunette Cup broke my heart.

You know when you shop for jeans and you find yourself preferring the brand that equates to you wearing the smallest size?  I think they do it for a reason.  We’re more likely to shop at The Gap if we wear a size 2 there compared to a size 5 in Levis…  Ok, well maybe it’s just me or just a coincidence?

So, I hear about the awesome Lunette Cup…  I already use a Diva Cup.  I’m thinking, can’t be much different but then I hear that it comes in Sz1 and Sz2 and that unlike the Diva Cup, there’s a chance that even though you’ve birthed babies you could still, possibly, maybe, hopefully, have a Sz1 vagina!

You may think I’m crazy but I really did get my hopes up that I’d discover I had a Sz1 vagina.  I’m 34 years old people, I can dream.  Oh and I’m an optimist! lol

So I hook up with the awesome Kelly Wels who owns Green Team Enterprises Distribution.  She’s a distributor of the Lunette Cup.  I agree to review both a Sz1 and Sz2.  At this point I’m pretty sure I’m going to have a Sz1 vagina again.

Okay, so fast forward to me getting the Lunette Cups in the mail.  I LOVE them and that they come in different colors.  I dislike how dingy my Diva Cup has become and I like that the Lunette Cup come in colors.  This also makes it less obvious what it is, just in case I leave it on the bathroom counter when we have guests over or whatnot.

So, shark week starts, I learned about calling my cycle “shark week” on Pinterest thank you very much!

I break out the new Lunette Cups and I don’t even bother opening the Sz2.  I love the flexibility and I much prefer the stem of the Lunette over the stem on the Diva Cup, it makes removing the cup easier and I find it easier to grab on to.

I do my thing, put in the cup and then it happens, pretty much right away, it starts to leak. It can’t be full already, but I hope it is. It isn’t.  Sad face. I have a Sz2 vagina, just as I’d feared.

To all of you who still have a Sz1 vagina, don’t worry, your day will come. #evillaugh

ETA:  I forgot to mention. I had no problems with the Sz2.  It fit and worked perfectly and I’ve been using it exclusively for “shark week” ever since.  A more in depth review and giveaway are coming soon.

I am currently a Diva Cup user, but am very interested to hear how the rest of the test with the Luna turns out! Sorry to hear about the Size 2 vajayjay. I would have never even hoped. 30 years old and three kids later, I am just glad a 2 still works! ;)

I’ve also been a loyal Diva Cup user for years, but I tried the Lunette (size 2 of course!) and I LOVE LOVE it! I’ve been using it exclusively for several months now and I have no leaking whatsoever…ever! Even at night. For anyone on the fence, try it!

Shark week! LMAO!!! The moon cup has the long stem on it like the lunette cup does. I had to trim the steam on both my moon cup AND my diva cup. It’s WAY more comfortable for me to have no stem at all, and just pinch the bottom of the cup. Like some of the other ladies said….after five kids, I’m just glad the 2 works. I’d hate to be a 3…or more. LOL

I’m about to have my first shark week in over a year, ahhh how I love breast feeding. I thought I was going to be getting anew diva cup (the one I own is for my since departed pre baby vadge) now I will be looking into this one as well. My babies were 9 and 10 lbs, I’m just hoping for a size 2 lol.

I didn’t care about the number, but I was bummed that I had to buy a new cup after having a baby.

I love this narrative. I just had my baby girl around 3 months ago, so no need for one yet, but thank you for the Sz1/Sz2 heads-up!

I want to know if the size 2 lunette cup works better than the diva cup. I still have leaks with my size 2 diva cup.

If it makes you feel ANY better, I am also 34, have never actually given birth (momma by domestic adoption), and I’m still a size 2. I think it’s a condition that we have called O.L.D.

HA! LOVE IT! I was thinking of switching to the cup. I currently use the sea sponge tampons but have been having issues with them “sliding” down even before they are saturated. I had no idea cups came in sizes… I’ve been a big girl all my life, wouldn’t be surprised if I was big down there too!
