A Goodbye and Hello to a New Beginning for Cloth Diaper Geek

There’s a new HEAD GEEK in town!
Hello lovely Cloth Diaper Geek fans and supporters.  It’s me, Julie, writing to let you know about the closing of a chapter in my life.  From approximately 2007 through 2018 I have been immersed in the cloth diapering community, initially because I chose to cloth diaper my twin sons who were born in 2006.  Between 2007 and 2018 you might have known me as Julie, the Cloth Diaper Geek.  The name always suited me well, I’m a nerdy introvert and work-at-home-mom who loved geeking out with my fans, store owners and brands over the latest and greatest new products and prints in the industry.

With my daughter turning 16 in April and my twin sons entering middle school the fall, I feel the time has come for me to pass my geeky cloth diaper torch on to someone still interested in continuing cloth diaper education, advocacy and able to test new products.  As you know, it’s been years since I personally have been able to do more than visually provide an “overview” of new products vs. being able to actually review them or provide my hands-on experience and the niche name and theme of my blog has also always prevented me from branching out too far beyond cloth to explore other topics.

In late January of 2019, I began the process of transferring ownership of my Cloth Diaper Geek blog and accompanying social media channels to Jenn Reinhardt, the owner of All About Cloth Diapers and Thinking About Cloth Diapers.  She’s excited to have added Cloth Diaper Geek to her family of blogs, she’s certainly just as head-over-heels about cloth as I have been and she’s 100% passionate about helping small businesses and brands succeed just as I have tried to continue to be over the years.

This farewell will not mean that I am completely disappearing from our amazing community.  I still manage social media, marketing, and graphics needs for businesses in our industry via my business She Thinks Media, LLC and plan on continuing to help host and organize events such as the Eco Booty Hunt, etc.

I am excited to see my “baby” live on and can’t wait to see what Jenn has in store for it.  It’s truly an honor to have it added to Jenn’s growing list of amazing online cloth diaper resources.

So with that, I’ll say smooches!  Thanks for being a part of such an amazing chapter in my life and career.  I can’t say it enough, cloth diapering truly changed my life and you all have always been a part of a small group of people who actually know what I mean when I say that.

With love,
Julie

Hey there!

I'm Jenn and I am PROUD to be the new caretaker of this amazing resource. I have found a passion not only in educating about cloth diapers but also being a strong supporter of small business. Thank you for joining me on this journey!

julie, cloth diaper geek blogI'm Julie, a former cloth diaper retailer who discovered a passion for the industry. Now, instead of selling cloth diapers, I advocate them and promote small businesses I love who sell and manufacture them. I'm the wife of a fireman and mother of three. I have a 15yr old daughter and identical twin sons who are 12yrs old.

becca, cloth diaper geek I'm Rebecca and I'm a wife, mother, and work at home mom. I enjoy things like babywearing, cloth diapering, breast feeding, and using all natural solutions in my house. I teach Spanish to my children and their friends and I also love to sing, play the guitar, paint, draw, read, crochet, knit, and sew. Most importantly, I love Jesus and I strive to follow his example.
