I already can’t even say the word BlogHer without welling up, my voice rising and my stomach getting that excited feeling. That same feeling you get when you’re pulling up to Disney World as a kid and you approach the parking lot.
“Can this really be happening? Can I seriously be going to New York City, alone, to meet people whom I only know “virtually”? Oh my god, this is SO exciting!”
If you’re also going to BlogHer then you probably know what I am talking about. I feel like I can’t think or talk about anything else.
Then it happens, you stumble across…a BlogHer contest. Windows is offering a Home Office and Fashion Makeover with a Celebrity Stylist in NYC. Did I stumble across this for a reason? Is it my destiny? lol (Yes, I’m a mega optimist)
Why is this #WindowStyle Makeover for me?
Style Makeover?
Well, for one, my style is lacking. I’ve been dressing the same since high school and I have a real obsession for well worn jeans, thrift store shirts and once I find something I like I end up wearing it every day until it falls apart. I’m a work-at-home-mom so no one knows that I wear the same clothes all the time.
Even with that said though, I like my style. I think my lack of style is my style? Does that make sense? In a sad way? However when faced with the opportunity to go out with my husband, attend an event like BlogHer or meet a possible new client at their office I find myself in a rut, my “style” then apparently sucks. Nothing I own is professional, trendy or dressy. Well sometimes trendy, but trendy a few years ago…
Can you even imagine a $1500 shopping spree with a professional stylist in New York City while at BlogHer? No words…my mind would be blown.
Home Office Makeover?
I have none. This would be HUGE. Although I get by, I can’t even fathom winning a brand new, top of the line Computer with Windows! We’re not an Apple family, just in case you’re wondering. I refuse to cross over to the dark side, so this would totally rock my world.
Having a new computer and new wardrobe I feel would be like receiving a Small Business Grant for my business. I’m obsessed with succeeding and growing my business and this computer and style makeover would mean the world to me!
So…in accordance with the #WindowStyle rules…I have made a Vlog about why I’d love to win and what it would mean to me. Enjoy and comment letting me know what you think of my begging and pleading…lol
