Making Organics Accessible for ALL
Walmart has partnered with Stonyfied to bring more organic choices to stores nationwide. It’s no secret that millions of families shop at Walmart for their low prices, access to grocery, home, housewares, garden, clothing, automotive and electronics. Walmart is convenient that’s for sure, especially for people with limited access to transportation, those with EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) cards or for those who live in areas where there are less grocery and shopping options.
Sure, we all would love to shop small, local, family-owned businesses, but the truth is that tons and tons of people can only afford to shop at Wal Mart and they deserve the same access to high-quality, organic and GMO-free food products as the rest of us.
Why I shop at Walmart
Over the years my family has gone back and forth between solely shopping for groceries at Wal Mart to only shopping at Wal Mart on a limited, as-needed basis. Recently we’ve switched back to grocery shopping at Walmart and I am excited to see them expanding their natural and organic offerings, which was one of the reasons we stopped shopping there in the first place.
Most noticeably for me were the additional offerings from Stonyfield, my favorite yogurt brand. My local Walmart now offers these Stonyfield options
- Organic Greek
- YoTot
- YoBaby
- YoKids Squeezers
- Smoothe & Creamy
- and a few others!
My hope is that they’ll soon add Oh My Yog which is one of my all-time favorite NEW Stonyfield products!
I personally am thrilled to see reputable organic brands like Stonyfield taking the time to partner with Walmart. I like having access to my favorite products anywhere I shop and I know that people who have yet to fall in love with Stonyfied will now have the chance to!
Do you shop at Walmart? Which products are you excited about them carrying and which brands do you hope to see them stock soon?
*Disclosure: I was compensated for this post with a $25 Walmart Gift Card to use on Stonyfield Yogurts or as I saw fit. Thanks for reading and for supporting my work-at-home-mom owned business.
