Today we set a NEW Guinness World Record in the name of Cloth Diapers!

There’s an awesome worldwide event happening TODAY that involves more than 6,000 babies being changed in cloth diapers simultaneously in 15+ countries, at 262+ sites…all in the name of living green. It’s The Great Cloth Diaper Change and it’s taking place in Melbourne Florida, the home of the Cloth Diaper Geek too!
In its second year, The Great Cloth Diaper Change, an international initiative organized with the help of the nonprofit Real Diaper Association, is working hard to show the world that cloth diapers are a real option for today’s families, especially those who many be seeking a more planet-friendly and affordable diapering option.
The combined 262 (and counting!) sites are already on their way to attempt to break last year’s Guinness World Record of 5,026 cloth diapers changed simultaneously at 127 locations in five (5) countries. Last year’s Brevard County location was a hit.  This year’s Brevard County Great Cloth Diaper Change will take place Saturday, April 21st at Wickham Park in Melbourne, FL from 11-2pm.

Besides just helping break last year’s Guinness World Record, Brevard’s event will have a local cloth diaper and babywearing swapmeet, a raffle with prizes, and local vendors selling their wares.  It’s a great way to connect locally with the cloth diapering and natural parenting community.  You don’t have to be a cloth diapering family to attend, and participation in the 12:30 mass cloth diaper “change” is not required.

We hope to see you all there today!
