ZiggleBaby Cloth Diaper Review and Giveaway! Enter to win THREE!

Since my little men are no longer in diapers my desire to actually review cloth diapers is met with not so much enthusiasm.  We can no longer truly test the diapers but my reviews have turned into more of an overview with my commentary on the features.

I have said no to more than a few recently until…Zigglebaby.  Before committing one way or another I decided to go ahead and visit their site.  There I found their youtube video.  (see below)

The video started and no lie, I was thinking “another NEW and unexciting diaper...” but then, a few moments into I was scratching my head. A cloth diaper unlike any other I have seen, is this real?  So I of course said YES.  I couldn’t wait to see these “magic buttons,” a diaper that you can adjust and attach anywhere, and it fits to 45lbs.  I was curious for sure.

About the diaper.  The Zigglebaby OS Diaper is a one-size diaper that fits birth through 45 lbs.  It’s exterior and interior are polyester, and both sides are very aplix friendly.

The “magic buttons” are two sided aplix, fine/smooth touch sticky buttons that allow you to attach the insert or the diapers outer to anywhere else on the diaper to provide a custom fit and/or semi-attached insert.  The buttons do not get washed with the diaper.  Should they get soiled, you can wash/rinse them by hand.

To give you an idea of just how sticky they are, I held my camera with my right hand and tried to take a magic button off with the left and I could almost not get it off without using two hands.  In other words, these aren’t going to easily get lost or come loose on their own.

Another awesome feature was the gussets, truly unique.  I tried to capture just how unique in my photos.  They’re generously sized and the FOE (foldover elastic) is super duper soft which will make it really gentle on babies thighs.  Also, it provides a good fit on both skinny and chunky thighed babes.

The soaker/insert, it’s also in a league of it’s own.  It’s stay-dry weave fabric over the absorbent core makes it really trim.  Fold down in the front or back on small babies and give them some extra absorbency where they need it most.

Next step for my ZiggleBaby diaper, it’s being sent to a contributor who CAN use and test the diaper on her child.  Then we’ll share a follow up on it and let you know about it’s absorbency and functionality.

I think it’s pretty awesome that you took the time to review this diaper even though you couldn’t use it on your child. I just wanted to thank you for that.

I used expensive diapers up until 6 months or so, but all of the sudden I started getting regular leaks. I’ve had very, very few since I switched to honest. I tried expensive ones at the beginning and they were terrible. My daughter is long waisted and on the thin side, so that may account for the discrepancy, but that’s my take.

Where would I find these diapers? What is the price? Looking for diapers to take to the orphanages in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
