You guys! I couldn’t be more thrilled at the response to my call for your Cloth Diaper Confessions. Your honesty and sense of humor is refreshing and I hope will be a breath of fresh air to fellow cloth diapering mamas and papas. I don’t think we often realize that certain lifestyle choices can come with pressures and stresses. Cloth diapering is fun, whether you use one cloth diaper a week or nothing but cloth diapers for years.

I wonder what store she works at and what brand she thinks smells so good?
Cloth diapering mom is grossed out by poop and thinks diaper sprayers are ugly.
“I’ve been holding off on starting solids with my 6 month old because I’m not ready to start spraying or scraping diapers. I love cloth diapering, but that part secretly grosses me out and I don’t want an ugly sprayer on my toilet. “
Cloth diapering mom is OCD about staining and has stain anxiety.
“I panic when I think a diaper might stain. I baby my diapers and want to keep them in the best condition possible. The moment I notice my LO has poo’d, I immediately treat the diaper with a cloth safe stain solution and then wash it. I never just throw them in the pail. Not even the idea of sunning them keeps me from the stain anxiety.”
Closet cloth diapering mom keeps the fact that she uses cloth to herself.
“Sometimes I don’t tell people I cloth diaper because I’m afraid of the reaction I’ll get. After mentioning it to some of my close friends and seeing their grossed out expressions, I just keep it to myself.”
